Capacity Notice

A congress ticket does not guarantee workshop participation. The total number of workshop seats is lower than the total number of participants, so some attendees may not be able to secure a workshop place.

Where to Select Workshops

Workshop selection is done directly on this page by clicking the selection button on your chosen workshop card. Once selected, your choice will be automatically updated and visible in your personal account dashboard.

If you cannot see the selection buttons, please ensure you are logged in and your payment status is activated.

Important for Abstract Participants

If you are an active participant (presenting an abstract), please do not select a workshop on Saturday, June 6, between 08:00 and 13:00.

Restriction: Active participants are not eligible to select the From Chaos to Command (Plan Roșu) or TRAUMATISED workshops due to scheduling conflicts with the oral presentation sessions.

Availability and Categories

Some workshops are restricted by participant category (Doctors only, Students only, Nurses only), while others are open to all categories.

Access Conditions

Please plan in advance. Only activated accounts (payment recorded) can access the workshop selection link in the dashboard when selection opens.

Workshop Schedule

Workshops are scheduled on Wednesday, June 3 (from 16:00) and Saturday, June 6 (throughout the day).

Exception: The Resuscitative Thoracotomy workshop takes place on Friday, June 5, between 15:00 and 18:00 (specific session times depend on your final allocation).

Selection Limit and Possible Phase 2

Maximum: 1 workshop per participant.

If workshop demand is high, a Phase 2 may be opened for additional workshop options. Participants who select a workshop in Phase 1 will not be able to change that selection.

Workshops built for decisions under pressure.

Immersive simulation, high-yield procedure training, and multidisciplinary coordination — designed for students, residents, nurses, paramedics, and specialists who want practical competence, not just theory.

Crossing the Point of No Return

A high-intensity, expert-led workshop addressing one of the most dramatic and controversial procedures in emergency medicine. Participants will explore indications, contraindications, decision thresholds, and technical execution in a controlled, simulation-based environment.

Major Incident & Disaster Medicine Simulation

A large-scale disaster medicine simulation focused on command structure, triage systems, communication flow, and interagency coordination. Participants will experience both operational and leadership roles during evolving mass-casualty incidents.

Medical Care During Vehicle Extrication

This workshop explores medical decision-making during technical rescue operations. Participants will train alongside rescue professionals to manage critically injured patients during prolonged extrication, balancing medical priorities with scene safety.

Two Lives, One Decision - Prehospital Childbirth

A rare and highly specialized workshop addressing obstetric emergencies outside the operating theatre. Participants will train in rapid decision-making, maternal–fetal prioritization, and neonatal management under austere and prehospital conditions.

When Seconds Count in Severe Trauma Management

A full-scale trauma experience developed together with rescue services, featuring live actors, moulage, environmental stressors, and time pressure. This workshop focuses on trauma algorithms, teamwork, and leadership in uncontrolled environments.

Rapid Whole-Body Ultrasound in Acute Care

Integrative POCUS: Combining Cardiac, Lung, and Abdominal Scans is a hands-on workshop focused on building a fast, structured bedside ultrasound approach. Participants will learn how to integrate cardiac, lung, and abdominal views into one practical protocol for triage, differential diagnosis, and real-time monitoring of critically ill patients. The session covers key landmarks, high-yield findings, common pitfalls, and image interpretation that supports immediate clinical decisions. It is designed for physicians and residents who want to improve confidence, speed, and accuracy in daily POCUS use.

BVM, SGAs and DL/VL Intubation

Master the most critical skill in emergency medicine: the ability to maintain a patent airway and provide effective ventilation using only basic tools and maneuvers. This high-interaction session focuses on perfecting the Bag-Valve Mask (BVM) technique, correct selection of airway adjuncts, and the positional logic required to save lives in the first minutes of a respiratory crisis. Mastering ventilation, airway adjuncts, and primary intubation techniques (DL & VL).

Critical Procedures for Unstable Patients

Life-Saving Invasive Procedures: Cricothyrotomy, Intraosseous Access, Central Venous Catheterization, and Pleurostomy is a high-intensity, hands-on workshop focused on rapid procedural management in life-threatening emergencies. Participants will practice decision-making, indications, equipment setup, landmark and ultrasound-guided techniques, and step-by-step execution of each procedure in simulation-based scenarios. The session also covers complication prevention, troubleshooting under pressure, and immediate post-procedure care. Designed for emergency and critical care clinicians, this workshop strengthens confidence, speed, and technical precision when seconds matter most.

Ultrasound-Guided Solutions for Difficult IV Access

Vascular Victory: Improving Success in Difficult IV Access is a hands-on workshop focused on practical techniques for obtaining reliable vascular access in challenging patients. Participants will learn a structured approach to vein assessment, catheter selection, probe positioning, needle guidance, and confirmation of successful cannulation using ultrasound. The session highlights common failure points, troubleshooting strategies, and safety tips to reduce repeated attempts and complications. It is designed for clinicians who want to improve first-pass success and confidence in difficult IV access situations.

TRAUMATIC guidelines simulations

This fast-paced, 60-minute simulation-based workshop is specifically designed to master the essential steps of major trauma stabilization for nurses and students. Using high-fidelity scenarios following the T.R.A.U.M.A.T.I.C sequence and European Trauma Course (ETC) principles, participants will practice rapid assessment, effective resuscitation logistics, and team coordination in a simulated shock-room environment. The session emphasizes the critical ‘horizontal management’ approach, role clarity under pressure, and the core manual skills required to support a life-saving trauma team during the first ‘golden minutes’ of patient encounter.

Essential Asepsis and Wound Closure Skills

This hands-on workshop builds core surgical skills for beginners, combining asepsis and antisepsis maneuvers with practical knot-tying and suturing training. Participants will practice surgical hand preparation, sterile field setup, instrument handling, basic knot techniques, and common interrupted and continuous sutures on simulation models. The session emphasizes safe technique, tissue respect, error prevention, and confidence in basic wound closure.

Important knots, sutures and other surgical elements applied in cases

Take part in our “Surgery 101 – Case Scenarios” workshop and learn the fundamentals of surgery. You’ll practice essential skills such as correctly putting on sterile gloves, maintaining a sterile field, suturing, knot tying, and handling surgical instruments.

The workshop also includes hands-on case scenarios, giving you the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in practice and to think through medical cases—from wound inspection to applying dressings.

More workshops will be announced progressively.
