About this workshop

Mastering the trauma bay dynamics. In the high-stakes environment of a major trauma admission, success is defined by team coordination and the rapid implementation of life-saving protocols. This workshop, specifically tailored for nurses and students, provides intensive, scenario-based training following the European Trauma Course (ETC) philosophy. The session focuses on the “horizontal approach” where multiple interventions happen simultaneously.

Under the T.R.A.U.M.A.T.I.C framework, participants will master the clinical and tactical pillars of trauma care:
• Teamwork: Seamless role allocation and shock-room leadership.
• Resuscitation: Strategic management of traumatic shock.
• Airway & C-spine: Safe stabilization and adjunct deployment.
• Universal Precautions: Safety first in the trauma bay.
• Massive Bleeding: Rapid identification and catastrophic hemorrhage control.
• Assessment: The multisystem ABCDE approach in the trauma victim.
• Therapeutic Priorities: Decision-making in time-critical injuries.
• Investigations: Coordinating diagnostics while stabilizing life-threats.
• Communication: High-fidelity team feedback and SBAR handovers.

With only 10 seats per series and a focus on hands-on team interaction, this session transforms theoretical knowledge into muscle memory, ensuring you are prepared to act decisively in the critical first minutes of a trauma encounter.
