Step into the eye of the storm. This is not a classroom lecture or a table-top exercise; it is a high-fidelity, live-action field simulation designed to test your resilience, decision-making, and leadership in the most challenging medical environment: a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI). Set on the training plateau of the Târgu Mureș Fire Department, this workshop simulates the activation of the “Plan Roșu” (Red Plan), forcing participants to navigate the critical transition from initial chaos to a structured, efficient chain of command.
Working alongside real actors portraying victims with realistic traumatic injuries (moulage), you will experience the overwhelming sensory load of a disaster scene. The simulation involves multiple emergency structures and agencies, requiring seamless interdisciplinary communication and strategic coordination. Participants will be tasked with life-or-death decisions while managing the Chain of Command, implementing the START Triage system, and overseeing patient logistics under extreme time pressure.
The session focuses on the “Command and Control” philosophy—mastering the flow of information between the scene, medical resources, and the hospital. You will learn to prioritize resources, maintain situational awareness, and lead diverse teams of paramedics, residents, and specialists. By the end of this 4-hour intensive simulation, you will have a profound understanding of the strategic logistics required to bring order to disaster-level chaos.
