See what you feel, confirm what you suspect. In the modern Emergency Department, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) has become the “visual stethoscope” of the clinician. This workshop focuses on the seamless integration of ultrasound into the initial resuscitation and diagnostic phase, moving beyond simple image acquisition to clinical decision-making.
The session provides an intensive, station-based training environment where participants will rotate through 3 core ultrasound modules: eFAST (trauma), General echo and Cardiac POCUS (basic ECHO in shock). Working with high-end ultrasound machines and live models, you will master the manual dexterity required to catch the perfect window while simultaneously interpreting findings in a clinical context.
Coordinated by certified POCUS specialists, the workshop emphasizes the “Binary Approach”—answering critical clinical questions with a Yes/No ultrasound finding. You will explore the pitfalls of artifact interpretation, the logistics of ultrasound-guided procedures, and the tactical use of POCUS in undifferentiated hypotension. With a high mentor-to-participant ratio, this session ensures you leave with the confidence to integrate ultrasound into your next critical patient encounter.
