Double the stakes, double the precision. When a critical obstetric case arrives at the Emergency Department or is encountered in the field, the clinical complexity of the patient is doubled. This workshop is designed for emergency clinicians who need to bridge the gap between emergency protocols and obstetric crises. The focus is on the “Two Lives” philosophy—ensuring the stabilization of the mother while prioritizing the safety of the unborn child.
Using world-class high-fidelity birthing simulators, participants will be thrust into evolving scenarios covering the most feared obstetric complications: Eclampsia, Placental Abruption, and the catastrophic Post-Partum Hemorrhage (PPH). You will practice the hands-on maneuvers for shoulder dystocia, breech delivery. The session emphasizes rapid recognition of maternal collapse and the implementation of standardized crisis resource management (CRM) in a setting where time is the greatest enemy.
Coordinated by a team of emergency physicians, the workshop provides immediate feedback loops in a safe simulation environment. You will explore the specific pharmacology of obstetric resuscitation, the logistics of neonatal stabilization, and the strategic communication required between the emergency team and the labor ward. With only 20 seats available per series, the interaction is highly personalized, ensuring you leave with a clear cognitive map for the most challenging minutes a clinician can face.
